Horizons Foundation Announces 2003 Technical Assistance Workshop Series
Horizons Foundation, the Bay Area's LGBT community foundation, has announced its 2003 Technical Assistance Workshop Series. Over the past several years Horizons has convened technical assistance opportunities to increase the capacity of Bay Area LGBT organizations, and this year is proud to announce a comprehensive year-long series of workshops addressing a range of community needs, from grant-writing to reading a balance sheet to addressing issues of racism in LGBT organizations. Given the harshness of the present economy, the 2003 Series places special emphasis on fundraising and financial management. The workshops are designed to enable organizations to become stronger, to serve and learn from each other and from experts, and, ultimately, to serve our community most effectively. Danny Kirchoff, Program Coordinator said, “I am extremely proud to offer such a dynamic 2003 series, and encourage the breadth of our community to take advantage of this unique resource.” A full list of 2003 Technical Assistance workshops can be obtained here, or by contacting Danny Kirchoff, program coordinator at (415) 398 - 2333 ext.113. Horizons Foundation is a social justice philanthropic organization serving the entire spectrum of LGBT communities. To fulfill this mission, Horizons created strong organizations meeting needs, advancing the rights, and celebrating the lives of LGBT people and communities; generates a diverse group of informed, generous supporters giving time, energy, and resources to the LGBT community; and educated the public about the nature and impacts of homophobia. |
