Build with PRIDE
Lesbians for Good, a donor-advised fund at Horizons Foundation, is proud to support The Stephen Blake Jacoby Memorial Build with Pride.
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is proud to partner with the LGBT community and allies to celebrate San Francisco Pride in memory of Habitat San Francisco founder Steve Jacoby. In 1991, Steve Jacoby took the first steps toward bringing Habitat for Humanity to San Francisco. He died from AIDS before ever seeing the organization incorporated, but without
his vision and work, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco would not exist today.
We honor his memory with the second annual Stephen Blake Jacoby Memorial Build with Pride. Join members and allies of the LGBT community for this unique volunteer experience strengthening communities right here in the Bay Area.
In honor of his memory, we will kick off San Francisco Pride month with the second annual Stephen Blake Jacoby Memorial Build with Pride. Members and allies of the LGBT community are invited to build with us at Habitat Terrace, a development of 28 homes in San Francisco’s Ocean View neighborhood on June 5 & June 6. These two build days will support affordable homeownership for all members of our community and will offer a rewarding day of hard work, a commemorative Habitat Build with Pride t-shirt and free lunch to enjoy with old and new friends!
