Once again Horizons is thrilled to help mobilize donors to raise vital funds for Bay Area LGBTQ nonprofits through Give OUT Day, a wonderful initiative to engage thousands of people on a single day across the country to support the LGBTQ community. In 2014 Give OUT Day raised over $1 Million for over 500 organizations. Last year many of our very own Bay Area organizations made us proud and rose to the top of the national leader boards! Special prizes!
Thanks to a generous gift from The Coming Home Fund of Horizons Foundation, your gift on Give OUT Day has the potential to help the Bay Area organization(s) you support win additional prize grants from Horizons. Horizons once again will be offering special grant awards to six Bay Area organizations that receive gifts from the most unique donors. To give everyone a shot at winning regardless of organizational size, we’ll make awards to both smaller and larger nonprofits. You can follow all the action that day on the “leaderboards” on the Give OUT Day website.
Support our Bay Area nonprofits
As part of our mission to increase resources for the Bay Area’s LGBTQ community, Horizons has helped engage Bay Area nonprofits to take part in Give OUT Day. We’ve also created a special Bay Area portal on the Give OUT Day website (https://www.giveoutday.org/c/GO/p/BayArea) to help people – especially those who aren’t giving now – find a group (or two or three) to support.Check back regularly for the most up-to-date list of participating Bay Area organizations.
