Add your voice to improve local services for the LGBTQ community
Horizons Foundation is leading an LGBTQ community needs assessment that will result in current, actionable data about the community. It has been over 20 years since a comprehensive needs assessment of the SF Bay Area’s LGBTQ community has been performed and now more than ever, we need to make sure we have current data and information about our community.
This data will be employed by the foundation itself to set grantmaking priorities, and to be a resource for community organizations and foundations. Horizons staff have been working with 14 other leading organizations serving the LGBTQ community, and Learning for Action (LFA) to develop a survey that will help us gather this information. The survey is available in English and in Spanish. We are asking you to please participate by filling out the survey and sharing with your Bay Area LGBTQ networks:

The survey links will be open for you to share your input until midnight on Wednesday, February 15 (Please note this extension!). We hope you will share this with your networks.
About the LGBTQ Community Survey
Are you tired of filling out surveys? We understand! We know that members of our community are often the subject of research, which can sometimes feel draining, especially when it does not inform change. The LGBTQ Community Survey has been developed by community members, for community members, and provides an important opportunity for us to shape what service providers, community advocates, and funders know about the most prominent needs facing the San Francisco Bay Area LGBTQ community.
The survey is a bit long – we anticipate that it will take 15-30 minutes to complete, and it asks some questions that may take some thoughtful consideration to answer. We are only asking these questions because we need to understand more about you and your experiences in order to help Horizons Foundation and community service providers to better serve our diverse community. For this reason, we hope you will take the time to complete the full survey. Please also feel free to share the survey link with your friends!
