Why Participate in Give OUT Day
New Donors
Give OUT Day’s peer-to-peer model, where your organization’s ambassadors recruit donors from their networks, has shown to be an effective strategy for expanding the donor pool of organizations like yours, while also engaging current and lapsed donors alike.
Prize Money
Give OUT Day partner organizations have the opportunity to earn thousands in prize money beyond the dollars they raise on their own.
No participation fee
Participating in Give OUT Day, including use of Mightycause, our modern technology platform, is completely free for organizations. Plus, you can allow donors to cover transaction fees (4.9% + $0.30 per transaction) to ensure 100% of every donation goes to your organization.
Support
The Give OUT Day Learning Center provides all the information, tools, and templates you need to run a successful campaign. We’re also here to support you via Give OUT Day Support Bot, virtual office hours, and email.
Visibility
When you participate in Give OUT Day, we list your organization in our searchable giveoutday.org directory, where we direct tens of thousands of previous Give OUT Day donors and where we invest significantly in advertising. Plus, you can leverage the #GiveOUTDay buzz on social media to draw attention to your cause.
Community
By participating in Give OUT Day, your organization joins a movement of hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of donors committed to strengthening the LGBTQ community. Since 2013, Give OUT Day has helped LGBTQ nonprofits raise millions of dollars!
Technology
Your organization can use Mightycause, the Give OUT Day technology platform, not just for Give OUT Day but for all your fundraising year-round.
"The Give OUT Day concept and platform are such helpful fundraising tools! This style of fundraising was not traditional for us, but when we trusted and used the suggestions advised, we saw success our first year without a lot of effort. (And even met a new major donor who maintained a relationship with us over the years!)"
