Meet These LGBTQ Trailblazers in Law: Albers-Alexander 2025

Announcing Six LGBTQ Student Trailblazers - Markowski-Leach Scholarship

The Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Scholarship Fund, housed at Horizons Foundation, was created to empower LGBTQ students pursuing a law degree and who show leadership and courage on behalf of the LGBTQ community. The goal of the fund is to break down barriers to education and uplift those who have historically faced challenges to access including LGBTQ students of color, transgender students, LGBTQ immigrant students, LGBTQ students who are the first to attend college in their family, among others.

The Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Scholarship Fund awards up to $10,000 to first-, second-, or third-year law students attending one of the following law schools:

  • Santa Clara University, School of Law (Santa Clara, CA)
  • University of California at Berkeley, School of Law (Berkeley, CA)
  • University of California at Davis, School of Law (Davis, CA)
  • The University of California College of the Law (San Francisco, CA) 
  • University of Wisconsin Law School (Madison, WI)
