Horizons Foundation is proud to offer scholarship awards to graduates from the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD). This scholarship aims to invest in OUSD graduates and further our vision of a world where all LGBTQ people live freely and fully. The Horizons LGBTQ Scholarship supports LGBTQ students entering higher education, which may include community college or a traditional four-year university.

The Horizons LGBTQ Scholarship welcomes applications from everyone. Past scholarship recipients have represented the breadth of our community, including historically under-represented segments of the LGBTQ population.

The fund is supported by the Adolph Y. Bremerman, Jr. Scholarship, also known as “the Bremerman Scholarship.”
