National LGBTQ Task Force
$75,000.00
The National LGBTQ Task force will focus its faith work over the next year on the following strategies: 1) Countering right-wing, oppositional faith-based voices with the voices of trained, articulate pro-LGBTQ clergy, faith leaders and unlikely supporters; 2) Neutralizing opponents through strategic education of the religious public and people of good conscience with up-to-date messaging that resonates with their experience and values, thus shifting the way in which faith is constructed, experienced and lived out in the public square; and 3) Training and supporting a cadre of Faith Organizers who are equipped to tell their stories and mobilize faith communities to support LGBTQ equality through personal, one-on-one conversations and organizing actions in their communities
