OVERVIEW
Our mission is to join with schools and communities with an intersectional approach, with love, education and advocacy, to cultivate more gender and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming environments for LGBTQIA2S+ folks; with a focus on transgender, nonbinary, and gender fluid youth and those who support them. We believe our work will be the early intervention that can serve as a catalyst to change systematic invisibility for LGBTQIA2S+ youth.
Through our Saving Lives Now (SLNP) and Rainbow Awareness Programming (RAP) our overall goals are to reduce mental health disparities; improve wellness; and strengthen social connections for LGBTQIA2S+ folks and those who support them.
Our SLNP is designed to impact the LGBTQIA2S+ community through trainings and consultation sessions; APT student clubs; and campaigns related to local compliance with state legislation, such as inclusive curricula and all gender restroom signage. The RAP uses art, literature, community events, life-affirming imagery and intergenerational gatherings to bring people together across genders, ages, racial/ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
