OVERVIEW
Oasis Legal Services empowers low-income LGBTQ+ immigrants who have survived violent persecution due to their sexuality, gender identity, and/or HIV status by increasing access to quality, culturally responsive legal representation and social services.
Since opening our doors in 2017, we have supported over 2,700 LGBTQ+ clients from over 68 different countries. Our legal services include asylum, residency, naturalization, VAWA, and family petitions to ensure queer and trans immigrants find permanent safety within the United States. In addition to direct legal representation, Oasis provides holistic social services to address the intersectional needs of our clients so they cannot just survive, but thrive.
We are active members in statewide and national coalitions and provide training for service providers on serving this demographic in a culturally responsive way. Through our advocacy, we fight to make lives for queer and trans immigrants affirming and safe beyond our client base.
