OVERVIEW

Queer Cultural Center (QCC) promotes social justice and the artistic and financial development of queer art and culture. We steward artists whose programs nourish, connect, and mobilize trans and queer communities in San Francisco and its diaspora.

Since LGBTQ2S+ civil rights activists and artists founded QCC in 1993, we have built and sustained LGBTQ2S+ communities through cultural organizing. Since our start, QCC has curated and produced 28 month-long National Queer Arts Festivals (NQAF). In 2024, we shifted the National Queer Arts Festival (NQAF) festival into two seasonal festivals, a Spring Queer Arts Festival and Fall Queer Arts Festival. Additionally, we created an advanced level of our Creating Queer Communities artists development program (CQC1 and CQC2). QCC’s arts services consist of artistic program planning, fiscal sponsorship, free/low-cost grant-proposal and report writing, marketing strategies, and capacity-building workshops.
