OVERVIEW

TACT (Trans Advocacy & Care Team) is a Bay Area based, trans-led nonprofit that is creating a network of peer support and community resources for trans and gender-diverse adults across the United States. TACT offers peer counseling, peer support groups, and resource navigation services that are free and accessible from anywhere. TACT also hosts in-person events in the Bay Area, like our Trans Grief and Joy Open Mic. Our services are specifically by trans people for trans people—we are trans people helping other trans people thrive.

By reducing isolation, providing affirming resources, and creating supportive spaces, TACT is empowering individuals to overcome barriers to care and cultivate resilience. We are working to shift the narrative about the trans experience from one of survival to thriving in order to foster a broader culture of trans joy and resilience. TACT believes that, together, we can build a world where every trans person can thrive as their authentic selves.
