OVERVIEW

TurnOut’s mission is mobilizing communities to power queer and trans movements. Our goal is to transform latent passion for queer and trans issues into high-impact action for our communities. Since our inception, we have recruited over 8,000 volunteers to support more than 200 grassroots organizations serving queer and trans communities. These organizations serve a wide range of functions, from mental health services and immigration support to supporting unhoused queer youth and trans people in the prison system. Beyond volunteer recruitment, we also recruit and train Board members to support these organizations to ensure their leadership has the training, support, and overall capacity to maximize their impact. Finally, we work to build connections between organizations to strengthen our collective movement through information sharing, collaboration, and collective action.
