I couldn’t be more excited, and more deeply grateful, to share that Horizons’ 40th Anniversary Virtual Gala raised over $390,000 for Horizons’ work to create a world where all LGBTQ people live freely and fully. It was deeply moving to hear so many supporters and special guests speak about what Horizons means to them and to our community, and to listen to our incredible grantee partners share the impact made possible by the foundation’s COVID-19 grants, which now total over $940,000 to 71 Bay Area LGBTQ organizations. As I said Saturday night, I missed being in a big room with all of you, and giving and getting a thousand hugs. But I could still absolutely feel the unbreakable sense of community that binds us — and that powers us toward our shared vision for the future.
