Horizons Foundation will host an extraordinary presentation and discussion with two of the nation's leading legal authorities on the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. It is now widely expected that, on June 26, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue its decision in Lawrence and Garner v. Texas, in which Texas's anti-sodomy law is being challenged. The decision is almost certain to have tremendous impact on the lives, rights, families, and freedoms of LGBT people.

Leading the discussion will be Kate Kendell, Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and Jennifer Pizer, Senior Staff Attorney at Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, which is lead counsel in the Texas case. The program is part of Horizons Foundation's Philanthropy Series, and will include discussion of other major developments affecting LGBT rights in the legal and legislative spheres. Roger Doughty, Horizons' Executive Director and also an attorney, will moderate.

Space will be available before and/or following the program for interviews with the presenters.
